This tour is designed to explore the main attractions of La Fortuna, for those who have limited time in the Arenal Area and want to make the highlight activities all in one day.
First we will start with 3.5 km (2 mi.) Volcano Hike through rainforest trails of solidified volcanic lava and in the prestine El Silencio Reserve to reach the lookout, which is the closest view point to the Arenal Volcano that you can get.
From there, the views of the Arenal Lagoon, the secondary rainforest, and areas devastated by ancient eruptions will be impressive.
After the volcano hike we will move on to the second point of interest. The 70m (230ft) high La Fortuna Waterfall is a breathtaking place, where you can take a refreshing swim or just photograph this magical waterfall and its splendid surrounding. Once we are done with La Fortuna Waterfall we will enjoy a delicious Typical Lunch in a restaurant near La Fortuna.
Next we will make our way to the Mistico Hanging Bridges Park to walk along a trail through the rainforest and across the bridge high above the rainforest canopy treetops. We will be surrounded by the plants and animals that never touch the ground, see life from a different perspective. The 3.1 km (2 mi.) circuit trail includes 16 impressive bridges, 6 hanging and 10 stationary bridges, an amazing trail network in the canopy.
